Task Force cracks down on hate crimes

Hate crimes. You don’t think about them happening in Tucson, but Justice Department workers say they do happen and often times go unreported.
Tuesday night, the Southern Arizona Hate Task Force met with elected officials, the acting U.S. Attorney and members of the FBI.
The forum is designed to inform the public about how they can report allegations of police misconduct, about the elements of a hate crime, and what to do if they have been a victim of a hate crime. They’ve even launched a website designed to provide community members with factual information about hate crimes and links to important local resources.
